Hamilton, ON Senior Research Officer Established and developed the Research/Library Department at St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation. Planned, developed, organized, implemented and managed a Library thereby centralizing the Foundation's print and electronic resources. My responsibilities included: analyzing, evaluating, organizing, and disseminating needed information in the most accessible format, cataloguing and indexing resources according to recognized standards, managing the library budget, developing and maintaining a collection development policy, providing guidance, training and assistance to staff by making training available to facilitate staff access to information resources, securing information beyond the library's own resources when requested, and designing and implementing a library catalogue using MS Access. Provided current awareness, media monitoring and the distribution of relevant information throughout the Foundation. Identified potential donors/new prospects and researched existing donors by augmenting existing data on current donors and prospects to increase financial support of the Foundation. This includes individual, corporate foundations and organizational donors. Developed detailed profiles on donors/prospects to ensure the best solicitation strategies are developed and implemented. Using analytics and predictive modeling to maximize financial support, evaluate previous gift data and relationships; uncover potential donors and other available information. Responsible for all aspects of information and records management of the Foundation. Provided digital media support for a variety of devices, including tablets, e-readers and smartphones. Provided system-wide support for virtual and instruction services. Provided bibliographic and technical instruction during customer service interactions.

Brantford, ON Technical Services/Liaison/Reference Librarian Brantford Public Library/Laurier Brantford Provided hardware and software support, web site development, systems support, and circulation services. Acted as a liaison and played an advocacy role between Brantford Public Library and Wilfred Laurier University to provided library academic services to students Wilfred Laurier Brantford Campus and professors of Wilfred Laurier Brantford Campus. Assisted in collection development for the Brantford Public Library and the Laurier Brantford Library collection. Provided reference, reader's advisory and instruction services to library patrons. Provided bibliographic and technical instruction during customer service interactions. Assisted with the management, administration and supervision of the Circulation and Technical Services Department comprised of Systems, Cataloguing, Acquisition, and Circulation services. Developed, provided, and evaluated reference services in the library. Conducted research related to budget preparation; in applying for and managing grants; As part of collection development, selected and weeded of traditional and electronic reference collections and special collections in all formats; in managing indexing projects; in identifying and conducting inventory of collections for preservation.
