Drawing on extensive experience leading diverse business enterprises in the retail hospitality industry, Phil Cornett serves as a consultant for Chesterfield Land in Richmond, Virginia. Among his notable assignments, he oversaw site development of over 75 locations for a startup electronic cigarette company that has achieved a per-store average revenue of more than $625,000. Phil Cornett has also provided guidance on such issues as staffing, menu creation, and facility design for two independent restaurants in eastern US.
Prior to joining Chesterfield Land, Phil Cornett spent over 20 years as co-president of the restaurant franchisee and operator CMC Limited. He directed functions ranging from conceptual development to operations management and led the company to establish over 18 mid-Atlantic locations with a collective revenue of $30 million. In an earlier role as president of CMI of Va, he expanded a KFC franchise chain operating since 1967 to 38 locations across four states. Mr. Cornett managed the successful exit of CMI in 1992, securing its sale to PepsiCo.
At the beginning of his career, Mr. Cornett acted as president of the Pizza Inn franchisee CIMCO Enterprises and held a position on the Pizza Inn National Advertising Board.
