Simple Earth Media

A group of the Web’s leading environmental blogs, podcasts, and social media outposts today announced that they have combined to form a single environmental publishing and social media powerhouse. The resulting new entity, Simple Earth Media, includes top environmental media and publishing entities such as Green Living Ideas, Blue Living Ideas, GreenTalk Radio, and Natural Papa.

The brainchild of co-founders Sean Daily, CEO, and Adam Shake, Editor-In-Chief and founder of Twilight Earth, Simple Earth Media is a new media and social media company whose brand mission is to create a compelling, organic, educational network of environmental online venues that engage an ever-growing audience concerned with sustainable lifestyle habits and business practices.

In addition to the sizeable daily web traffic and newsletter subscribers of the constituent sites, the combined social media audience and following of the Simple Earth Media network is unprecedented, totaling over 50,000 Twitter followers in addition to tens of thousands more friends and subscribers on FaceBook, LinkedIn and other social media platforms — making it one of the largest online environmental social media communities in the world.

Simple Earth Media’s contributing editor staff includes some of the Web’s best-known and most highly-regarded environmental writers, many who write for GO media as well, including Derek Markham, Jennifer Lance, Ariel Schwartz, Susan Kraemer, Scott James and numerous others. The company’s tagline is “New Media Making a Difference.”

In 2008 after over a decade as a Soldier and another decade in the field of Executive Management and Operations, I turned to a new passion. Environmentalism.

I helped spread this passion through writing and social media, and I was highly successful at it. Within three short years, I had amassed a Social Media following of over 30,000 followers on just one Twitter account alone. I then worked with another like minded businessman and we started a company called Simple Earth Media which was the umbrella company for seven websites offering consumer news from our own stable of dozens of writers.

While doing all this I began working with Nonprofits in the Washington DC area, attending, hosting or sponsoring charitable events and began speaking on Social Media panels and at colleges such as George Mason University. How did I find the time to do all this? That's a good question, because through all of it, I was all working a full time job in Commercial Real Estate!
