Peter Dickinson operates through KUB as a high growth business coach. Peter helps companies improve their performance by working with the senior management team to identify the vision, develop the strategy to achieve the vision and then go on to help them identify actions for implementing change. This is an action centred approach with the team agreeing to specific actions for implementation at the end of each meeting.
Documentation is kept to a minimum as the emphasis is on analysis, understanding and action. Documentation for analysis uses one page documents to ensure that they are easy to understand and allow you to see the overall picture.
There are no reports. The support of a business coach means that change is driven at a pace decided by the company and a key part is that knowledge is transferred into the company so that over time key skills are gained when and where they are needed.
Over the last 12 years Peter has run the IT department of a manufacturing business and as a facilitator has helped to implement lean manufacturing and thinking in to production and the offices. On the IT side the server environment has been virtualised and disaster recovery moved on to the cloud. Digital Media projects include moving the web site to WordPress for faster and easier maintenance and foreign language support. A European web site has been set-up and all spares can be purchased on the web. Currently being piloted, trade customers can order products online. The online ordering system is integrated into the main systems so that orders can go seamlessly into production with the web carrying out all the checks and balances. Future developments include smart phone apps for the sales and engineering teams.
Peter was a registered and approved Growth Coach for GrowthAccelerator helping ambitious businesses achieve rapid and sustainable growth by providing tailored expert advice until the project was guillotined by the Government in November 2015.
Peter worked with a wide range of companies through GrowthAccelerator including a very successful web retailer, software houses, veterinary surgery, fuel forecourt services company, metal fabricator, temporary swimming pool provider, specialist PR company and a contract packing and internet fulfilment company.
Designed2Eat Ltd supplies healthy treats both on-line and through independent shops. Designed2Eat has develops its own products as well selling related products manufactured by others. We go to considerable lengths to ensure the quality of the raw materials. No sugar is added, the sweetness comes from the clever use of ingredients. The fudge brownie tastes like a standard fudge brownie but does not have any gluten, eggs or sugar. The key differentiator is that these healthy treats are suitable for people with multiple intolerances, coeliac, IBS sufferers, etc. Also they are suitable following a specific lifestyle such as Vegan, Vegetarian, Paleo, health & fitness conscious as there are no additives and the labels clearly show all the ingredients used.
We also sell to trade including coffee shops, shops selling free from foods, gyms, cross-fits & mobile coffee vans and have competitive pricing for anybody wishing to buy on a regular basis.
The on-line system uses Shopify and bought in apps to provide sophisticated system where the trade and consumers can place orders. Consumers can set-up subscriptions so that they can place regular orders and gain a discount.

During the Government sponsored programme Peter was a registered and approved Growth Coach for GrowthAccelerator. GrowthAccelerator is where ambitious businesses go for new connections, new routes to investment and the new ideas and strategy they need to achieve their full potential.
Peter's role as a Growth Coach was to work with companies on a one-to-one basis providing relevant and individual support. He helped with leadership development, strategy, marketing including social media and digital, sales, product/service innovation and development, customer service, operational excellence, technology and organisational structure.
After the programme has now finished Peter is currently working with companies to help them break through their existing thinking and to find new ways to grow their businesses. Quite often this involves going back to what they are passionate about and why their products and services make a real difference to their customers.
E4A provides effective team building and group problem solving to all types and sizes of organisations as leadership, team building and group problem soliving are common skills required by all young and old. E4A provides enterprise challenge days to 11-19 year olds with days designed around the enterprise process using professional mentors and which meet the QCA guidelines. Products include an innovative Enterprise Jigsaw, Posters, a range of easy to understand Business Basics books. Peter is a co-author on all 5 books.
Recently launched Digital products for interactive group learning and action planning including profit improvement and managing digital media implementation. Several enterprise challenge days for schools have been successfully migrated to the interactive group learning environment.
As Government funding has been withdrawn the company is now dormant.
Provided general business advice, coaching and specialist IT help including web site development projects to over 250 small and medium sized businesses in East Lancashire.
These businesses were in a wide range of sectors including engineering, manufacturing, technology, the care industry and farming.
Facilitated two large networks of companies. The Digital Alliance was a network of about 85 digital companies in the North West. The Advanced Manufacturing Group was a network of about 80 manufacturing companies in the North West. The groups were funded by Business Link East Lancs.
The Effluents Services Group supplied waste management solutions to industrial customers and comprised of three divisions: Transorganics Ltd, ESL Industrial Waste Management and Marine. Budgeted turnover was £4.5m, £2m and £230k respectively and the Group employed 90 people in total.Following extensive analysis I made the decision that the receiver should be called in as a direct result of the major loss in turnover caused by the Foot and Mouth crisis.I started working for the Group as an independent consultant in 1994. In July 1999 the Chairman realised that drastic action was required after the departure of the Group Managing Director and the General and Sales Managers for Transorganics. I was appointed General Manager for Transorganics in the July and became the Group Managing Director in October 1999.
Transorganics was the leading land spreading contractor in the UK recycling industrial waste to agricultural land for the benefit of the environment. I was Interim General Manager as the permanent Sales Manager, General Manager and Managing Director were no longer with the company
ADSOFT was setup to provide consultancy services to small to medium sized businesses. Initially focused on assisting businesses implement and develop IT systems I developed into providing general business consultancy services whilst studying for an MBA. The MBA was completed in December 1998
