Peter Goodson, a New York City-based investor, was raised in the New York area. He attended Bronxville High School. After graduating from high school, Peter Goodson attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he excelled in and out of the classroom. He was elected by his peers to leadership positions in Dartmouth’s nationally ranked rugby team and Theta Delta Chi. Academically, Peter Goodson majored in economics and minored in history, earning an impressive GPA during his four years at Dartmouth.
After Peter Goodson earned his BA in Economics in 2002, he embarked on a career in the world of finance, accepting a position with an investment bank in New York. After two years in New York he moved to the buy side to a major private equity firm in Washington, DC. Goodson maintained an active and productive life outside of his work, as well. For example, Peter Goodson partnered with some friends in 2006 to found Three Sheets Bedding, LLC, while continuing his professional career. This high-end bedding company specialized in Hungarian goose down pillows and Egyptian cotton sheets.
Peter Goodson has always enjoyed and participated in athletics. In addition to having played on the Dartmouth rugby team, he runs regularly, plays tennis and basketball, and skis. Perhaps his most memorable athletic experience outside Dartmouth came in 2007. Living in Hong Kong at the time, Goodson played starting Lock on the Division II rugby team of the Hong Kong Football Club; the team won the championship that year.
Peter Goodson supports a number of causes by offering his time and resources, most notably the Central Park Conservancy and the North Shore Animal League America.
