Summary

For over a decade, Peter has been designing and managing the most replicated environmental certification programs (lodging and restaurant) and launched the only grocery certification program in the country. These programs have been so effective that several states have adopted them verbatim (CT, RI, VT, NH, AZ, MO, MD) and several other states have sought his guidance in the development of their respective programs based on his model. Peter has been regarded as one of the nation's leaders in developing environmental certification criteria and program management.

Peter regularly speaks to national and regional audiences on strategies of how to effectively implement and measure successful sustainability programs. The success he has enjoyed in his career is based on his ability to build enthusiasm in partnerships with businesses, organizations and government agencies. Businesses participating in his programs (over 200) have experienced significant impact reductions and impressive cost savings (over $10 million since 2003). Peter is skilled in assessing environmental impact and facilitating the implementation of successful sustainability initiatives. He is an excellent presenter, instructor and facilitator in discussions of strategic planning, decision making, program implementation and strategies to reduce environmental impact.
