In addition to utilizing the industry’s most award-winning automotive navigation software, company has partnered with a number of leading developers in outdoor navigation and multimedia.

Position Profile:

Co-founded the company in Hong Kong with 3 partners. Established the U.S. based subsidiary for sales and marketing in the Americas, Europe, and Australia. Created strategic partnerships with several of the largest GPS software manufacturers in the world through leading teams of engineers, designers and contract manufacturers in Hong Kong, China, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Germany. Managed a team of outside sales representatives, developed complete go-to-market strategy, launching simultaneously in the electronics and sporting goods industries with all in-house PR and marketing.

Significant Contributions:

  • Established an import/warehousing/sales agreement with the largest GPS distributor in the world (over $1 billion in sales per year) to manage supply chain and logistics for North America

Spearhead efforts towards all brand and product marketing / communications. Worked closely with Intel, Microsoft, etc. to receive their co-op support for advertising and market launch. Placed Azentek at the world’s largest global trade shows including CES at very little cost, acquiring partner contributions and support. Dual Electronics Corporation is the U.S. based subsidiary of the Namsung Corporation, a public company registered on the Korean Stock Exchange known for providing quality consumer electronics at affordable price points.

Position Profile:

Created and designed the company’s brand marketing campaigns, as well as completely designed, developed, and maintained the Dual web site. Coordinated the design and development of product packaging. Designed and developed the yearly company overview and product trainings for consistency in skill for employees, retailers, reps, and distributors. Coordinated and organized Dual’s presence trade shows. Organized the company’s sponsorship and co-op promotions and coordinated the procurement of promotional merchandise. Managed the research and development of new products working with the company’s overseas partners to help create products from the initial concept stages through the final launch dates, managed call center. Collected and compiled all of the industry research from NPD Intelect, CEA, and the information received from retailers to provide monthly reports to the company’s domestic and overseas management. Product testing, debugging, and evaluation of possible problems reported from the field. Coordinated software upgrades and fixes to existing products.

  • Helped to grow the new company into one of the top 10 selling mobile electronics brands in the United States with more than $100 million in annual sales by its fourth year in business

Kenwood USA

Kenwood is one of Japan's largest and most successful consumer electronics manufacturers featuring a broad range of high-technology home and automotive audio products to include amplifiers, speakers, receivers and CD players.

Position Profile:

Facilitated effective management of the sales training and field marketing of 300+ retailers, sales reps, and distributors for the south eastern United States, while developing trainings and innovative ways to demonstrate products in the field. Coordinated all shows and events within the territory. Spearheaded the introduction and development of new products into the US Market. Provided American feedback and ideas to the Japanese-based product development team. Assisted in field testing and debugging concept products. Created marketing and training platforms that would allow the Japanese-designed products to sell in the United States market.

  • Co-wrote the Yearly Informational Magazine “Amped”, which is released yearly to the retailers and sales reps in the field; being was well-known by Kenwood retailers for its invaluable knowledge and industry-related humor
