Boasting an extensive background and wealth of satisfied patients, periodontist Perry Westbrook, DMD, MSD, continues to treat individuals with gum disease, regrows lost bone, successfully places dental implants (over 2,000 successful to date), and performs esthetic surgery in his Sunnyvale, California office. In operation for many years, Dr. Westbrook’s practice in Sunnyvale provides a range of services to clients of different ages. He also works in San Francisco's Union Square.Previously, Dr. Perry Westbrook taught as an Assistant Professor at the University of the Pacific’s Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he shared his knowledge of periodontal surgery. He participates as a member of several organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the California Society of Periodontists, the Santa Clara County Dental Society, and the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society. In addition, Dr. Westbrook has had articles published in the Journal of Dental Research and the Journal of Periodontology.As a student, Dr. Perry Westbrook consistently applied himself to his studies. He began his education at UCLA, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology. He then moved to Missouri to attend Washington University in St. Louis, where he was honored with a National Dental Fraternity Editor of the Year Award while completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). He then completed one year of residency at the Genesee Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Rochester, before moving on to study at Case Western Reserve University, where he finished his postdoctoral Master’s degree and received a certificate in periodontics. Passing his specialty board test in one attempt, he became the only resident in his class to do so.
