With a track record of helping businesses and organizations grow, particularly in the nonprofit realm, Pelton Stewart possesses expertise in strategic planning; project management; and program, board, organizational, and resource development. The recipient of assistance as a youth, he entered the nonprofit sector to provide that same help to others. Pelton Stewart’s more than three decades in overseeing such operations includes 16 years as Executive Director of Continentals of Omega Boys & Girls Club in Vallejo, California, and two years as Executive Director of the “I Have a Dream” Foundation, which distributes scholarships to student “Dreamers.” He also acted as Regional Services Director of the Pacific Service Center for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America for eight years.Additionally, Pelton Stewart has provided cultural-awareness training for more than 25 years and organizational development consulting services for more than 20 years. In 2007, he joined The Johnson Company, which aids real estate projects with financing and project management, including research, development, and construction. In his position as Vice President, Pelton Stewart employs his leadership, training, and organizational skills to oversee the administration of the firm.At the University of San Francisco, he studied psychology and business administration. He also attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. A member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and the Vallejo Branch of the NAACP, Pelton Stewart serves as President of the Vallejo Sister City Association. He also sits on the Boards of Directors of the Vallejo Sister City Commission and the California Alliance of African American Educators. A lifelong volunteer, Mr. Stewart takes special pleasure in mentoring young professionals.
