Lionel was employed by our office from 01 March 2005 until 28 February 2008 as Bookkeeper and Property Administrator. He has excellent verbal and written communication skills, is extremely organized, can work independently and is able to follow through to ensure that the job gets done.

During his tenure with Bellville Properties (Pty) Ltd, Lionel did all of the offices administrative and clerical functions, kept track of a substantial share portfolio, as well as managed our other properties. Many of the systems that he pioneered are still in use today.

Lionel was always willing to offer fis assistance and had and excellent rapport with our tenants and suppliers. He would be an asset to any employer and I recommend him for any endeavour he chooses to pursue. He left of his own accord to pursue other opportunities and assisted in the training of his successor. I employed Lionel Pead on 01 Mar 2000 as a consultant/tourist guide for our company, Tours & Trails, which was still in its fledgling stages. During his time with Tours & Trails, the business saw huge growth. After a brief period away from the company during which Lionelpursued an alternative venture (01 Mar 2005- 28 Feb 2008) I was delighted to be able to re-employ him the position of General Manager of the company, which he re-joined on 01 Mar 2008. He reported directly to me as owner of the business until the company was sold on 01 Mar 2010, after which he began to report to the new MD, James Ramsay.

During my time as Lionel’s superior I found him to be a dedicated team player who took control of all the day to day running of the business. He had a keen eye for opportunities to trim expenses and also proved his creativity in the field of introducing new products to our portfolio. He developed strong relationships with our major customers, all of whom placed their full confidence in him. I always found him to be one able to see the bigger picture and find solutions to any problems which arose. He was always immensely popular with his work colleagues, all of whom reported to him.
