Provide IT support to over 25 ships in the Norwegian fleet throughout the world while maintaining over 200 virtual servers and appliances per ship. 

  • Manage multiple Vcenter servers from version 5.0 to 6.5
  • Manage approximately 150-200 virtual machines per ship ranging in operating system between different  versions of Windows Server and Linux
  • Deployed servers using Ansible scripts on Red Hat Openshift platform

                                                                              IT Projects

Successfully refurbished the datacenter of the NCL Jade in March 2017, the refurbishing was part of a dry dock that included replacing all the ESXI host and SAN’s and replacing them with new HP servers and store virtual as well as upgrading from ESXI 5.5 to 6.0 and migrating from ESXI standard switching to distributed switching.

Successfully replaced the HP Store Virtual SAN’s, ESXI host and upgraded Vcenter from 5.5 to 6.0 on the NCL Star in June2017.

Worked on the successful commissioning of our newest ship the NCL Bliss, the fleet, this included building out a dual active/active datacenters environment with 6 ESXI host per datacenter along with 6 HP SAN nodes per datacenter. This was built in a Vcenter 6.5 environment with distributed switching. In addition to building out the physical environment I was also tasked with the building of approximately 200 virtual computers for NCL and multiple venders with multiple operating systems including Windows server 2016 and Linux Red Hat.

VMware implementation configured two ESXi server installed a windows 2008 server domain controller in the virtual environment, as well as a blackberry virtual server, Kaseya Management server and converted a 2003 Terminal Server into a VM image.

Project manager for ShoreTel VoIP migration, coordinated PRI lines moves with Paetech communication from our Brickell location to Terremark as well as porting the phone numbers of out Plantation location from Bandwith.com to Paetech. Coordinated with Terremark to have the PRI lines drop in to me collocation space. Coordinated with ICG the system configuration equipment and trough put requirements for the router. In addition, oversaw the new data network wiring.

Implemented and designed out paperless office environment, duties included configuring and installing document management software and server, training, dual screen on all user’s workstation’ as well as scanners for all users and high-speed network scanners in the office.
