Phillip Dickinson


30+ years experienced designer with empasis on retail and commercial design. I have 22 years  of experience for 4 major retailers, totaling over 200 outlets nationwide.In addition, I have managed new office and existing interior renovation projects.  My responsibilities have included space planning, FF&E specifications, corporate graphics and brand management. I develop and maintain excellent client relationships.I am skilled in both the creative process and in working with clients to complete their projects on time, on budget, and in working with them to achieve all of their goals within the project framework. I strive to bring artistry, practicality and design integrity together in finding solutions for my customers and clients.

Store Planning and design for both prototypical and non-prototypical  stores for retail home improvement chain with emphasis on new stores. Responsibilities included execution of store layouts, coordination of merchandise adjacencies, fixture plans with supporting documents,, coordination with architects on base building plans, production and delivery of completed space plans to project managers. Developed and maintained master template for prototypical 115,000 square foot stores

Director of Store Planning for 26+ outlet home furnishings retailer with stores throughtout the Midwest and Florida. Set up the Store Planning deparment and directed store layouts, specifications for fixtures, interior and exterior finishes, interior and exterior signage, lighting design, in-store graphics, and graphic design for company fleet. Designed and project managed corporate office relocations for the comany in 1995.
