Information Technology Associates Program (ITAP)
ITAP is one of five programs of distinction at DePauw University. Students like myself who are in their first year with the program carry the title apprentice. ITAP brings relevant uses of technology to the liberal arts education. As an apprentice, I am exposed to many different types of technology and complete brief rotations with regards to each. The following are the rotations I have completed or am in the process of completing, as well as relevant projects from each:
- Using Visual Basic.NET, my cohorts (group members) and I developed a project that allows a user to create flashcards as a studying tool.
- With Adobe Dreamweaver I created a website that provides detailed information about some of Indiana's best mountain biking trails. To produce this I had to utilize both HTML coding and CCS.
Technical Training Strategies
- This rotation required my cohorts and I to research and develop an instructional design method by which we could explain the available technology resources at DePauw in a simple manner to be administered to incoming freshmen students.
