My objective is to apply my skills and knowledge of the digital and creative industries to a client facing, project management role with a well respected, forward thinking agency.
Aquent is the world’s largest marketing and creative staffing firm. I am responsible for recruitment, talent management, project management, contract management and business development within the digital space in Vancouver, Denver and Phoenix primarily.
§ Partner with clients, ranging in size from small agencies to Fortune 500 companies and Crown Corporations, to assist in developing resource solutions for their contract, project and contract to hire requirements
§ Manage and keep multiple projects and timelines on track simultaneously constantly juggling shifting priorities and various creative and technical personalities
§ Develop estimates, quotes and statements of work to assist with project planning and scheduling
§ Track resource allocation and time to ensure that set budgets are being adhered to
§ Manage and document scope revisions and plan accordingly
§ Monitor project progress ensuring milestones are met to the satisfaction of all parties
§ Intervene on occasions when a project looks to be deviating from the plan to refocus efforts
§ Work with clients in a consultative manner offering subject matter and market expertise
§ Collaborate with clients from the planning phase to understand goals, deliverables, budgets and timelines
§ Work with Hiring Managers, Project Managers and Director level executives to determine resources and speciality skill-sets required based on project goals and existing team structures
§ Anticipate client needs throughout the project/year and proactively pipeline for suitable interactive talent
§ Business development on existing client accounts
§ Source qualified, high end, interactive talent through various methods including; networking, referral generation, social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), job postings, niche group and forum memberships
§ Recruit talent into the Aquent network utilising a comprehensive hiring process; phone screen, skills assessment, interview, portfolio review and reference checks
§ Proactively research and develop innovative sourcing strategies and uncover passive creative talent
§ Provide exemplary customer service in each and every interaction
§ Keep up to date with the latest trends and techniques in technology and social media
§ Consistently ranked one of the highest performing Account Managers in North America
§ Won award for the largest client GP and FTE growth of all North American employees, 2009
§ Acquired 4 internal ‘Superstar’ awards in the past 12 months for client and talent management
§ Regularly achieve and exceed targets

In my initial Agent role with Aquent I had similar responsibilities to those above but with a focus on the Vancouver market exclusively and with clients across the entire marketing and creative spectrum.
Following my arrival in Canada I freelanced as a contract Graphic Designer through Aquent with clients like Best Buy and Science World. Utilized tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
