Starbucks Digital Network

Launch and manage the Yahoo! / Starbucks co-branded product “Starbucks Digital Network” with over 30 integrated, premium content partners on 5 device platforms – Laptop, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Blackberry – in all 12,000 Starbucks corporate retail stores nationwide. Co-manage relationship and expectations between Yahoo!, Starbucks, an outsourced design agency, and content partners.

  • Define product requirements, strategy, roadmap, and metrics for more than satisfactory product experiences for the partners
  • Manage overall product development, operations, and content production, ensuring on-time launch and delivering engagement of almost 4 minutes per user
  • Communicate directly with engineering, design, quality assurance, legal, marketing, partners, customer support, and other key stakeholders to ensure full functionality and provide a quality end user experience with optimal visibility and minimal risk

Front Page (mobile and desktop)

Expanded, launched, and managed several features and product development aspects for the Yahoo! Front Page on desktop and mobile devices (2 most trafficked sites worldwide). Managed product requirements and coordinated efforts of Product Management and Design teams. Directed several high impact projects such as the integration of the new Yahoo! Local Beta into the Front Page, and the next evolution of the global Front Page.

  • Reduced customer support inquiries for mobile products by 48% through the design and launch of an integrated mobile customer care solution
  • Designed and analyzed the instrumentation of the mobile Front Page, influencing content strategies resulting in optimized engagement based on CTR, time spent, and user retention

Program Manager

Owned the global, cross-organizational product roadmap for Yahoo!’s Mobile efforts.   • Headed effort to align mobile product development headcount against strategy by increasing resources 25% to 320 with investment of only $7 Million by designing optimal on/off-shore distribution
  • Acted as PMO to support and project-manage beginning phases of various products and projects, such as the Yahoo! Local re-launch. Included creation of project plans, schedules, and Gantt charts to organize ideation phase and allow for fast-paced, iterative development
  • Reduced localization cost significantly by optimizing processes and effectively managing outsourced vendors
