  • Provide strategic leadership and manage all aspects of Healthcare Operations (HR, IT, facilities management, operations, finance)  for private-equity company that has changed the paradigm of how clinical trials (Phase I-IV) are conducted, clinical data and patient reported outcome data are collected and CRO services are provided.

Key Accomplishments:

  • Developed, rolled-out and supported The Patient Assessment, Care and Education (PACE) System - an electronic patient symptom screening, reporting and education system for oncology – rolled-out to over 100 practices across the US.
  • Launched technology (PACE System) in over 100 practices that enabled the capture of patient reported outcomes (PRO) from the waiting area in the practice as well as delivering educational material via the same technology.
  • Implemented IT policies and procedures to insure compliance with HIPAA privacy laws and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant systems.
  • Established IT infrastructure for clinical data warehouse utilized by newly created Health Outcomes PharmacoEconomics department generating over $4MM in revenue.
  • Cut licensing costs 40%+ through renegotiating enterprise-wide agreements with vendors.
  • Oversaw design, build-out and relocation of company to new facility with no customer/client impact and loss of only one business day.

  • Establish a fully-functioning Information Services group (desktop support, application development, network support, client servicing), and successfully aligned the IT & business strategies for two high-volume transactional business / payment processing units the corporation acquired. 

Key Accomplishments:

  • Tripled product revenue ($70k to over $200K) by deploying a state-of-the-art technology, which introduced significant efficiency into the operation and providing the client with a high quality product. Product volume grew over 34 fold in the first year after implementation.
  • Reduced expenses by over $1MM and increased productivity over 35% within 9 months by introducing operational processes across the entire organization, leading the turn-around of the company’s revenue from multi-million dollar annual loss to $2+MM in net operating profit within 3.6 years.
  • Built IT into a strategic business partner by collaborating with business clients to create client-facing products designed to make critical financial information available 24/7.
  • Developed IT strategic roadmap and short- /medium- /long-term goals to establish all aspects of technology infrastructure.
  • Directed the budgeting process, as well as all aspects of strategic IT planning and security/regulatory policy creation.
  • Reduced IT System/Infrastructure Level 3 “fire calls” (processing systems down – client impacted) from an average of one per month during first year of tenure to zero in the final 24 months of tenure.
  • Directed the strategic development of a remote data capture and data delivery initiative that served Continental US, Canada and parts of South America by 75% of client-base.
  • Led the expansion effort to open new centers on the West Coast and East Coast.

  • Oversaw the development and roll-out of investment order tracking system that brought efficiency to the operation and generated over $1.56MM weekly savings in business processing costs.
  • Led infrastructure upgrade to eliminate poor connectivity, improve business standards and streamlined processes.
  • Enhanced delivery methodologies tailored to meet business requirements, improved technology management and introduced leadership techniques to improve overall business success for an on-time/at-budget success of 91% for all IT projects.
