Creative Director

Echo Talent Management

I create and execute all marketing strategies, from email and social media to trade show coordination and on-site event management. This includes marketing for the company as a whole, as well as individual artists and models. I also create or oversee all marketing content for email campaigns, blog posts and artist interviews and television appearances. In addition, I shoot and edit all photos and videos for the companies promotional photographs, teaser videos and product (artist) commercials. A special note: last fall, I completed production on my first music video (which I wrote, directed, shot and edited) for the artist Robot Dream.

I developed the concept for and created a new company website, as well as sites for two of the represented artists; Gold Standard and Robot Dream. I continue to oversee the maintenance of these sites.

As needed, I help with artist scheduling and booking, contract negotiation and creation, and client support.

American Stone

In my short time with American Stone I coordinated the creation of 3 new product brochures, developed marketing campaigns for 2 new products and 2 holiday promotions, and increased product and company reviews across all relevant social platforms, including Yelp!, Google and Houzz.com.

I also overhauled the company's social media strategy, raising engagement across all platforms by 135%. I personally created all assets for the inclusion of the 3 Utah retail locations in the 2017 Pond Tour, and the company's profile in LASN Magazine (Landscape Architect & Specifier News).

In addition, I coordinated photo shoots at prominent buildings throughout Salt Lake and Park City that have incorporated the company's product in the design of their buildings. This included multiple IHC facilities, U of U Honors Housing and the Stein Eriksen Lodge.

Writer / Club Organizer

Rocket Monster Story Club

RMSC is a project as epic as its named! The heart of RMSC is to bring parents and kids together through creative activities. As a writer for RMSC, I contributed articles designed to help parents see play with their children as a relationship builder, creative stimulant, and the ultimate source of self-refinement. As a Club Organizer, I lead a group of 9 kids and their parents (most, single mothers) in a weekly gathering where we learned how to engage with one another and strengthen relationships through play, art, storytelling and other forms of creation.

Marketing Director/Story Teller/ Writer

Beacon Audio

As Marketing Director I created, coordinated and helped execute all product advertisements, social media and email campaigns, and live events.

Some of the highlights of my tenure include:

I created a series called BEACON Moments, where I interviewed musicians and industry professionals such as Rob Zombie, Minus the Bear, Deftones, Sea Wolf and over 50 other influential artists. I prided myself on asking questions that would interest diehard fans, not monotonous trivia easily found on a Wikipedia page. Each interview was centered around the subject telling the story of their BEACON Moment - The BEACON Moment is a decision, experience or choice that shapes the outcome of the rest of your life.

In 2013, I coordinated, and wrote copy and scripts for the Blazar Bluetooth speaker Kickstarter campaign that raised over $323,000. During this project, I worked with media outlets such as GQ, Mashable, Hypebeast, and more. In addition, Beacon Audio partnered with musical artists Neon Trees, AWOLNation, Brantley Gilbert and Halestorm to create, for each artist, custom bluetooth speakers, apparel and more.

I developed a life-style driven social media strategy which highlighted how real people used and loved our products. This included partnering with musicians, artists, dancers, outdoor sport athletes, business professionals and stay-at-home moms to showcase the wide range of demographics and uses of our products.

Trainer / Assistant to Operations Manager

Blue Stakes of Utah

After just two years with the company, I developed all-new training material for the employees, as well as conducted continuing education classes for associate contractors. I also trained all new employees, as well as administering quarterly on-going training courses for the entire call center.

As the Assistant to the Operations Manager, I worked on utility coordination projects such as the Beaver County Wind Farm, Pioneer Parkway, various Rocky Mountain Power Corridors, and pipeline expansions throughout the state of Utah.

Non-Profit Development & Fund Raising

MCIN

MCIN is an intense, hands-on program, based out of Phoenix, AZ and Los Angeles, CA (spending time in both cities throughout the program). The program is designed to teach not only the skills to develop and raise money for non-profit organizations, but to instill character, integrity and an unparalleled work ethic into its students as well.

During my tenure at MCIN, I worked to develop and raise money for two neighborhood after-school programs; develop, plan, coordinate and fundraise for Christmas in Paradise, a yearly parade and gift distribution program in one of Phoenix's most underserved housing developments; and raised funds for the homeless shelter, food panty, and work program at the Los Angeles Dream Center. Please feel free to ask for further examples from my time in this diverse program.

Interests

C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien are my favorite writers. If you don't want to hire me you're more than welcome to buy me a beer and talk about either of these authors for as long as you'd like. I also teach Bikram Yoga several nights a week in Sugar House. When I'm not playing Candy Land with my kids or taking my wife on a date, you're likely to find me shooting pictures for musicians, real estate or pets and their owners around Salt Lake. And, unless you want to hear me talk non-stop for an hour, don't ask me why storytelling is the most powerful form of communication in the history of mankind.

Summary

I believe in working for a purpose, not a paycheck. If everyday I can be stretched, growing toward my maximum potential, and enable others to do the same, I feel that purpose fulfilled.
