Multifaceted position supporting a Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2008 Active Directory environment. Responsibilities included 2nd-tier helpdesk support, hardware and software installation and support; auditing the network for security patch needs and updating servers and PC's. Responsible for enterprise-wide backups using Backup Exec v12 on servers and using the Desktop-Laptop Option for laptops and PC's. Administered VMWare ESX 3.5 servers in a production environment and VMWare's Lab Manager product in a production test environment for software development and customer support. Administered Adobe Connect v7 server and Altiris' Software Virtualization Solution server.  Responsible for SAN connections to servers using Fujitsu and Dell EMC and EqualLogic sans.

  • Spearheaded the conversion of corporate antivirus protection from Symantec to Trend
  • Implemented enterprise-wide Microsoft SQL 2005 server to replace several rogue installs
