Directed a team of 12 software engineers providing embedded Java consulting services to several industries. Successfully managed contracts ranging from 3 week training sessions to complex multi-year/multi-million dollar projects. As Software Quality Manager: Directed system test strategy for NewMonics' embedded real-time Java Virtual Machine (PERC), API and libraries. Recruited and managed software test team. Reported and managed test cycle progress, defects discovered, and other metrics collected from internal and COTS Java test harnesses.

Lead Engineer - Test Tools Development


Directed test tool development, process improvement (SEI-CMM), recruiting/managing junior engineers, field support activities, and test case development for the CableComm project (telephony/data over cable TV infrastructure).

Developed test tools to automatically test Motorola's GSM digital cellular infrastructure system. Dramatically reduced the manpower required to test the product.

Played a key role on a team tasked with establishing a software development process. This development team achieved SEI-CMM Level 5.
