Expert knowledge installing, terminating, testing and maintaining a wide variety of network cabling including: Optical Fiber, RG-56, RG-59, RG-6, RG-11, 560, 810, 812, 840. Twinax, Token Ring, Paging, Cat3, Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat7 and various types of audio/video multimedia cabling.   Expert knowledge of voice and data communication concepts, theories, protocols, and related technical tasks and concepts of both fiber optic systems, copper systems and hybrid copper-fiber systems.

Armed Forces Network Technician


As an Armed Forces Network Technician, I was responsible for seven United States Army military bases throughout the State of Kuwait.  Areas of responsibility were to maintain the Armed Forces Radio Stations (FM 104 and FM 107) and its related FM transmitters.  Daily duties also were to perform new AFN satellite installations, relocations, deinstallations including monthly AFN maintenance services work orders on over 450 AFN satellite locations for the US Army in the State of Kuwait.

Responsible for the installation, distribution, and repair of inside and outside plant cables of the Community Antenna Television Systems. Duties also included the At-Sea Fire Party, In-Port Fire Party, and the Flight deck Crash & Salvage fire rescue team.
