With more than 30 years in psychiatry, Patricia Stamm, MD, brings considerable experience and ontological perspective to her professional endeavors. She conducts a full-time private practice in addition to providing psychiatric consultations for local practitioners and treatment centers. Ordained a Minister in 2010, Dr. Patricia Stamm imbues her work with a strong spiritual element. Rev. Patricia Stamm, MD, began her spiritual studies in 2008 at the Chaplaincy Institute for Arts and Interfaith Ministries after 21 years of feeling the call to spread the Word of God. She was ordained in 2010 after decades in private practice and raising two children. She has now built a thriving interfaith spiritual ministry and resumed pursuit of her interest in songwriting, composing pieces that promote a more serene life. Dr. Stamm brings her contemplative life into her psychiatric practice, treating patients with a keen understanding of the spiritual dimension of psychology. Though she sees clients with a variety of psychological needs, Dr. Patricia Stamm maintains a special interest in eating and mood disorders, relationship issues, ADHD, chronic illness, and the dying process. Dr. Stamm’s approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychopharmacological, and psychodynamic therapy with her study of the divine. Rev. Patricia Stamm, MD, actively pursues current developments in her fields with membership in a variety of professional societies. She currently belongs to the American Group Psychotherapy Association; previously, she held membership in the American Psychiatric Association, the California Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. She has presented papers and workshops to her colleagues and the public on psychotherapy and eating disorders. Dr. Patricia Stamm maintains charitable involvement in and near her residence of San Rafael, California. She enjoys hiking, favoring the LakeLagunitas area, and has participated in tennis and horseback riding.
