Dr. Patricia Shipley has earned recognition for her work in emergency services, including being named among America’s Top Physicians for three consecutive years, in addition to her contributions to clinical practice handbooks. Dr. Shipley completed her residency training through the University of Illinois. Early on, she joined the emergency medicine team at UIC while attaining board certification. She further bolstered her professional credentials by completing additional training in pediatric and adult cardiac care.In 2002, Dr. Patricia Shipley wrote a chapter on meningitis for a book titled Rosen and Barkin’s Emergency Medicine Consult. Her success on the project led to her contributing chapters on managing oncologic and hematologic emergencies for the reference book The Clinical Practice of Emergency Medicine.Dr. Shipley has staff positions with some of Chicagoland’s leading medical organizations. She has affiliations as an Attending Physician at the University of Illinois and at Rush University Medical Center.
