Patricia Franco Gow

I am currently retired and seeking a part-time job as a radiographer in a clinic, outpatient facility, or as an instructor in a Associate degree program in Radiography.  I am registered with the ARRT and licensed as an MRT in Texas. I am a member of the ASRT.

As a didactic and clinical instructor. I primarily taught positioning labs, and patient care and ethics.  I also was always assigned to a clinical site as a clinical instructor.  The first six years I was assigned to St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital  I then went to Houston Northwest Medical Center for almost fourteen years.  I returned to St. Luke's for a couple of years and then to Baylor orthopedic department.  After Baylor I became the clinical instructor for two Kelsey Seybold sites , an orthopedic hospital and a UT outpatient clinic. The last couple of years I did a night time rotation at the VA Michael DeBakey Medical Center.  In the summers I did a couple of days a week at either St, Luke's or Texas Children's Hospital.  I retired in July 2014.


Clinical Instructor, Radiography

I was hired on a temporary contract to fill in as a clinical instructor for someone while they were on leave. When they returned, they became a full time didactic instructor and I remained at St; Luke's Hospital until my contract ran out of funds. I supervised and worked with the studnets in the clinical environment.


Relief Technologist, ARRT

I was on call each week for different offices in the north west as reasons area  of Houston that needed a registered technologist for either a day or a week or sometimes many weeks while their staff was out for various reasons or they were in the process of trying to find full-time staff. I performed routine and fluoroscopic procedures. I also ordered supplies, typed reports and assisted in cast removals.

Responsible for assisting and relieving staff technologist. I performed all duties of a radiologic technologist and patient care skills such as injecting contrast, giving IM injections and spotting the terminal ileum under the supervision of a radiologist.

Florida State University Health Center

Supervise, schedule personnel, assist in equipment purchase, order supplies and  attend  administrative staff meetings so as to bring support to the institution as a whole. I performed the imaging duties of a registered radiologic technologist.I was also responsible for a small physical therapy area where I performed ultrasound and diathermy, and whirlpool  treatments. I also did ECG's and EEG's and assisted in the application of cast and the removal of them.
