The Foothill Dragon Press is like a giant, weird family. Community is a huge portion of this class and I feel as though everyone gets along and enjoys coming to class. The middle of this year was particularly tough for me and the journalism students really helped me out. They helped me to maintain my positivity and writing articles helped distract me from the temporary sadness. Without the support from so many great people I don't know how I would've seen the bright side on my own. These people helped me heal faster and I owe them all of the thabks on the world. I a grateful that these students listen to each others ideas and handle the few conflicts that every publication with maturity. Being in this positive environment has made it so much easier for me to pitch my ideas as well as talk to my A&E staff about what is coming in for the week and assigning deadlines that they must meet. Journalism is the one class that I actually am excited to go to.

Some extracurricular activities that I do are: I cheer for Buena High school. Go Bulldogs! I also am involved in many community service programs like Casa Pacifica and being a Fire leader, which is a program for freshman that gives them time to complete their homework and get help from their leaders and teachers.
