Professional Statement

Currently I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice student scheduled to graduate on August 2, 2014.  I have 23 years of nursing practice experience with 15 years as a nurse practitioner.    The past 10 years have been spent practicing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a specialization in brain injury.  I believe in providing holistic compassionate care to the veterans I serve.  I have a strong interest in healthcare for the lower socioeconomic immigrant population.  I serve as a volunteer at a church-based free clinic for Hispanic Immigrants.
