As a Student Supervisor at Sunset Park Public School, my role is to interact, assist and supervise kindergarten students during their nutrition and recess breaks.
At the Lindsay Weld Centre for Children my role is to plan and implement engaging, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities for school aged children, while interacting with them and providing a stimulating and safe environment for children to learn, socialize and grow.
As a Grade 3,4,5 Teacher at Netamisakomik Centre for Education, my role was to plan and implement differentiated, and engaging lessons that provided hands on experiences and created opportunities for students to take an active participation in the learning process. Students abilities, and interests were kept in mind when delivering lessons, and presenting students with assessment options. Learning about First Nation culture and Mother Earth was a great learning opportunity, and was incorporated into the delivered curriculum, and classroom.
I worked as a Summer Program Educator for Superior Children's Centre for four summers, planning and implementing educational and developmentally appropriate activities for school aged children. As lead role educator, I was responsible for maintaining a safe, stimulating environment that was in accordance with the Day Nurseries Act.
During my Bachelor of Education I had the opportunity to plan and implement engaging and differentiated lessons in grades kindergarten to grade five. Lessons incorporated students interests and abilities, and accommodations and modifications were made based on students' needs. These placements allowed me to work and collaborate with other great educators and school teams, as well as provided me the opportunity to demonstrate my ability to develop positive professional relationships with a variety of students.
