Job Summary: Working alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide safe and quality patient care by performing the following:

  • Take vital signs and room patients from triage
  • Perform rapid EKG and assist with life saving measures
  • Collect lab specimens: venous blood draws, flu swabs, strep swabs, in & out catheterization, etc.
  • Orthopedic experience: splints (ortho-glass, aluminum, and Velcro), slings, crutch-fitting, etc.
  • Wound care: cleaning and applying dressings
  • Setting up/assisting in procedures: Pelvic exams, Lumbar Puncture, Conscious Sedations, etc.
  • Glucometer
  • EPIC/Care Connect charting system, chart auditing, and Invision experience
  • Secretarial duties: answering phone calls, consulting physicians, completing patient transfers, filing paperwork, etc.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
