AdWords Community Lead

Operations Management:

  • Prepare weekly operational Community reports and updates for senior management
  • Regular contribution to MBRs such as market insights and updates on projects
  • Created and managed a team workflow; created processes and helped new team members to ramp up in their roles

Platform Management:

  • Worked cross-functionally on migration from Pistachio (former Google forum platform) to Lithium (vendor platform), project successfully rolled out for English market (project accomplished in 6 weeks)
  • Collect user feedback for brand and product innovation and improvements to user experience (Cooperation with PMs, PSs, Eng and Ops)
  • Overall platform moderation, rule enforcement and reporting on product and spam issues

Traffic & Content Management:

  • On a quarterly basis; define and execute community-focused business strategies for user engagement and retention (content community plan, events, AdWords Help Center integration, expansion of new categories etc.)
  • Analyze Google Analytics data and other platform reports to identify ways to improve given metrics through testing of new initiatives
  • Promote marketing initiatives and use social media to increase community traffic
  • Work closely with marketing, PR and legal to ensure a holistic experience for AdWords advertisers

External client Top Contributors (TCs) Management:

  • Identify, onboard and train new TCs; build strong relationships with TCs, Rising Stars, and other community power users
  • Work on restructuring of the TC rewards program based on the feedback from the Summit
  • Organize and coordinate product specific trainings for TCs globally

Rising Stars Management:

  • Launched and managed a Rising Star program for AdWords Community
  • Analyzed Rising Stars data, their contribution and engagement across 9 markets on a quarterly basis
  • Currently the program retains ~60 members 

Internal Relationship Management:

  • Manage close cooperation with SMB Services and key POCs in different geo-locations on integration of the AdWords Community with other customer support channels
  • On-boarded and trained ~90+ SMB Reps over the past 2 years to participate in active posting on the community

Business Development:

I was involved in several revenue generating programs (Account Development @ Scale, Agencies @ Scale) most of the time in this position. I exceeded my individual targets by 15% in every quarter (on average).

Main achievements:

  • Kept high productivity and reached team targets on time during all quarters by providing consultations to potential advertisers and agencies on how to increase their ROI
  • Initiated a pilot to call to Czech and Slovak agencies for potential up-sell and achieved the highest uplift from all participating SEEMEA markets (annual $1.4M/1 FTE avg.)
  • Delivered several sales training sessions to new starters as a senior member of the team
  • Built an internal website with procedures, sales pitches, and updates applicable to SEEMEA markets

Customer Education:

Worked on several projects, such as the AdWords Forum, Webinars, and Inside AdWords blog.

Main achievements:

  • Took ownership of an inactive AdWords forum and doubled the membership base in one quarter
  • Migrated to Pistachio (a new Google product platform) and prepared a bulk email to <4000 advertisers to disseminate product change information
  • Identified and hired 5 Top Contributors (The highest number of Top Contributors per user base at that time)
  • Self-initiated launch of the Inside AdWords blog within one quarter, the first official communication channel in Slovakia
  • Intensively worked on marketing promotion to drive traffic to the blog to increase reader registrations

  • Established relationships and worked closely with Czech NGOs on how to use AdWords advertising
  • Supported and optimized their campaigns to achieve their organizational goals
