As an IRS Certified tax preparer I was responsible for preparing tax returns for military members, retirees, and their dependents.  At this job I developed and created our scheduling system for use during the tax season.  I played a vital role in the creation of our productivity and efficiency spreadsheet in order to identify areas of improvement. I also carried the responsibility of our marketing department utilizing traditional and modern means of outreach, which included the distributions of fliers and the creation and maintenance of the tax center Facebook page.

As a ceremonial adviser I would conduct thorough set-up and inspection of ceremonial areas in the National Capital Region to include the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, The White House, The Capitol, and various other locations.  The duties included consulting with ceremonial elements and leaders of specific events, and post ceremonial evaluations to determine areas of future improvement.  The job entailed frequent communication with the head of Operations for all ceremonies to ensure perfection was upheld.

As a public affairs liaison I was charged with maintaining and promoting the face of the US Army.  In this duty I would primarily escort the family and friends of Congress, senior Department of Defense executives, general officers, and other affluent members of the government to include foreign dignitaries and officials of our respective allies.  Visitors included Chile's Secretary of War, an escort which I conducted in Spanish, President of Afghanistan Karzai, and several other international figures.  Unique visitors included celebrities such as Owen Wilson, members of the National Basketball Association, Wounded Warriors, and executives of Fortune 500 corporations.  The primary focus was to keep guests informed and entertained prior to and after meetings with the Secretary Gates or his colleagues.  At the conclusion of my time in the Pentagon I had successfully escorted over 23 thousand unique visitors.

With the University of Phoenix online courses I was able to study year round and complete my degree during my time in service. GPA of 3.2.
