A woman of many interests, Anna LaMere began her career in 1993 after she graduated with a degree in exercise physiology from Central Michigan University. She joined The Wellness Institute of America to serve as an Exercise Physiologist at its Chrysler facilities in Toledo, Ohio, and Detroit, Michigan. Anna LaMere offered employees strategies for living healthy, fit lives, helped them to quit smoking, and provided them with regular fitness tests and assessments. During her next endeavor, Annae LaMere promoted her own business, LaMere Personal Training, around the United States at Gold’s Gyms and Powerhouse Gyms in Florida, California, Michigan, and Nevada between 1995 and 2002. From 2002 to 2006, Anna LaMere switched professional directions and took a position as an Associate Account Manager with the Ann Arbor, Michigan, firm Thomson Tax and Accounting. There, she performed telemarketing duties to recruit new business and presented sales and product demonstrations for potential clients. In 2006, Anna LaMere took another professional turn and served as Assistant Manager of Retail Sales in Marketing and Consumer Products at LA Weightloss, Inc., where she trained staff to close sales and motivate customers to lose weight; she also boosted sales by identifying clients’ needs and employing excellent customer service skills to fulfill those needs. Today Anna LaMere works as a freelance Medical Transcriptionist and owns Rock Chix, Inc., an online business through which she markets stylish clothing for the rock-and-roll crowd. These two undertakings utilize Anna LaMere’s diverse skills, such as her ability to use various software applications, her knowledge of medical terminology, her talent for trade show presentations, and her creativity in clothing design. In addition to her busy professional life, Anna LaMere takes time to give back to the community. She supports the Toys for Tots Foundation, a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve operation that collects new toys from October to December each year and distributes them to underserved children in the community. Anna LaMere also contributes to Operation Injured Soldiers, a group that raises funds to provide recreational activities to disabled soldiers to aid in their mental and physical rehabilitation.
