Ceramica SA Iasi is a ceramic bricks producer, second in the Romanian bricks market, competing with the world and country leader, Wienerberger.

  • Launched and built Brikston, a successful brand in a commodity market:
    • + 8 pp market share increase in two years, from 7% to 15%
    • Supporting the x2 production capacity increase
    • In the crashing construction market
    • On a tight marketing budget
  • Developed annual marketing activity plans;
  • Administered the marketing budget, maintaining responsibility for all reporting activities;
  • Planned and executed promotional campaigns, direct marketing campaigns;
  • Watched the P&L;
  • Researched and analyzed markets and trends;
  • Been part of the NPD team to enlarge the products portfolio

Unirea SA Iasi, edible oil producer, was acquired in 2002 by Bunge.

Bunge Romania SRL Iasi - edible oil producer, market leader, Romanian branch of Bunge, the world market leader.

Assisted the Marketing Manager in all activities, from analysis to planning and execution. Key resposibilities:

  • Initiating, following up, analyzing and reporting the results of the consumer and retail researches, qualitative and quantitative, continuous and ad-hoc;
  • Watching and reporting products sales and marketing expenses;
  • Setting and following up the sales objectives associated with the marketing actions;
  • Designing packaging and communication materials (product labels and boxes, promotional materials, corporate communication posters, press insertions);
  • Creating and implementing corporate identity guidelines and materials;
  • Outlining brand strategies, through permanent collaborations with the advertising and media agencies.
1992 - 2001

Engineer

May 1998 – December 2001 – worked within the Marketing Department (no special denomination of the position)

Responsibilities:

  • watching / reporting / scheduling production and sales
  • negotiating and following up export contracts
  • between September 1999 and September 2000 I was the only employee in the Marketing

    Department, reporting to the Eastern Europe Marketing Director of Cereol (company which acquired Unirea in 1999) and intensively accumulating knowledge; as of September 2000 the Marketing Manager joined the marketing team

October 1992 – April 1998 – within the R&D Department

Responsibilities:

  • translated (from English into Romanian) technical offers for the streamlining of the production plant and recommended the best version from the point of view of the technological performances;
  • between June 1994 and October 1995 I was detached at the Oil Hydrogenation Plant, to coordinate all the activities of the section
    • synchronized the hydrogenated oil production with the margarine and shortenings production
    • improved the work climate by correctly evaluating the personnel
