I direct annual events, fundraisers, grand openings, and corporate events. I am responsible for recruitment, training and delegation of assigned tasks to special events personnel. I oversee all logistics from planning to execution. I create event timelines and deadlines, manage resources, budget, delivery services, vending contracts, and support clients.  I negotiate contracts for services, approve suppliers' invoices, maintain financial records, review final billing and prepare reports. I have orchestrated events with budgets of up to $20,000 for up to 1200 attendees.

I assist and advise the Division Director and division personnel concerning agency procedures and preparation and clearance of correspondence, action documents, routing, etc. I serve as lead coordinator for the Division's Committee of Visitors meetings and audits. I Plan, coordinate, and oversee conferences and meeting logistics for Divisional retreats and special events including the budget. I commit the Division Director's time for appointments and meetings. I make specific arrangements for the holding of conferences and meeting with members of the Foundation staff and other officials. I take responsibility to make sure the supervisor is fully briefed in matters to be considered before meetings. I prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner.

I served as Biological Sciences Point of Contact on personnel-related actions and issues including tracking and planning. I reviewed and assessed all personnel actions for the Biology Directorate in the context of the National Science Foundation's and Biology's long-range strategic personnel goals and provided advice and recommendations as to the appropriate action. I negotiated with managers, NSF administrative divisions and staff offices in order to obtain the services and resources needed to implement solutions to management challenges. I provided guidance and support for the General Workforce and Senior Executive Staff Performance Plans and appraisals, and administered the performance bonus pool. I supervised administrative staff in the Office of the Assistant Director and established performance standards and evaluated administrative workloads. Monitored the status of compliance with EEO goals within the Directorate and kept the Assistant Director informed about actions. Oversaw the Financial Budget of the Assistant Director. Served as the final approver on travel, credit cards, and acquisitions.

Overall, I worked closely with Assistant Director and the Biology Directorate (BIO) senior management in planning operational changes within the Directorate by identifying issues, stimulate discussions with BIO Directorate and in other cognizant offices, and followed through with implementation when discussions is concluded.

I trained loan officers to ensure they met and exceeded production standards by spear-heading loan sales through solicitation and networking by establishing a referral source. I developed marketing materials, press releases, advertisements, and marketing plans to create a continuous loan volume. I provided loan counseling to clients by reviewing investment portfolios and financial solutions for clients. Was responsible for the operating budget for marketing and new business development. Was team leader for all marketing campaigns during 2004 - 2006. Maintained highest customer service award and Top producer in 2005 and 2006.

Overall, I was responsible for all marketing and outreach strategies for corporate marketing in Prince George's County, MD. The project consisted of training Jr. Loan officers on effective sales techniques, selecting promo materials for the company, coordinating trade show logistics, and securing advertisement for the company. I also met with new prospects, business leaders, and facilitators, resulting in an increase in new customers, funding for additional projects, and six new proficient loan officers.

I facilitated and partnered with the members of District of Columbia Emergency Management Agency (DCEMA) to plan and develop community assessment tools for D.C Wards 1-7. I organized and conducted community outreach seminars for emergency preparedness by leading and conducted studies and evaluations relating to the operational efficiency of the Emergency Management Agency Cluster policies, procedures, and organizational structures. I developed pre and post-exercise assessments that determined project effectiveness and presented, justified, and gained acceptance of new or revised operations and procedures. I established neighborhood-based support teams to validate, improve and implement Cluster Preparedness. Advised Director and Deputy Director of Emergency Management Agency on significant developments noted through observation, studies and working with the officials of the Division, Agency, Department, Community, and other governmental and non-governmental offices. I led marketing campaign to gather various community leaders, members, government officials and agencies to participate in numerous community exercises. I assisted in the creation of Public Service Announcements for Emergency Preparedness Exercise through various media outlets and helped develop the community website called, “BeReadyDC.org”.
