I am a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I earned both my BSAS and M.Arch.  Upon graduation in 2009, it took an entire year to find a full-time job due to the recession.  During that year, however, I never found myself unemployed and stayed busy.  I worked small, short-term contracts doing everything from drafting work to building websites to managing a stock room at a clothing store.  The first job offer I had came from Baltimore, Maryland.  In less than 10 days, my life was packed up and moved half-way across the country.  I have fought hard to get where I am today, and I intend to continue to fight to earn my license and beyond.  Getting a job was not enough for me.  I continue to look for opportunities to further my career.  I plan to become a Green Associate and take the Structural Exam of the ARE before the end of the year.

I will be a great architect.  I will not be stopped by any individual, firm or economy.

To obtain an intern architect position at an award-winning architectural design firm that has opportunities for me to grow as a professional, earn IDP hours toward taking the ARE, and learn from seasoned veterans who love their work.

I enjoy history and how it influenced every aspect of society, including architecture.  I also enjoy reading (fiction and nonfiction), baseball, spending time with my friends and family, and the occasional video game to escape reality for a while.

Though I do not have much time for it, I enjoy the arts.  I love to listen to music as well as play music on my guitar.  I enjoy drawing and painting, as well as photography.
