A resident of the greater New York City metropolitan area for more than 19 years, Orson Kirton enjoys giving back to his local community, participating in charities, and working as a train operator for the Metropolitan Transport Authority. Kirton was born in Barbados and grew up in Bayland Saint Michael and Christ Church. As a child, Orson Kirton was a member of the Boy Scouts, and was active in sports, playing soccer and cricket regularly. In 1993, Kirton enrolled in Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York. After earning an Associate degree, he obtained a position at Fulton City Sports as a manager. Two years later, he joined Federal Express as a courier. Though Kirton has lived in New York for almost two decades, he is also an avid traveler. He has travelled to numerous countries, including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Aruba, the Virgin Islands, and various cities in the United States. When Kirton is not working or traveling, he enjoys playing soccer and watching international football; his favorite team is Manchester United. In addition, he follows American basketball and is a passionate Lakers fan.
