Brief Description of Role and Responsibilities:

lMainly responsible for the sourcing, suppliers development and buying of annually turnover of 325million US$.

lKey contact point for Buying Dept. in head office.  

lCapacity management and orders allocation for 15million pcs annually.

lResponsible for implementing a global sourcing strategy, maximizing profitability, reducing lead-times, and creating a customer service organization.

lForecasting / Budget

lManage a dynamic merchandising team, dig down to the detail level to understand where there is a problem and recommend appropriate process and procedures that need to be implemented or changed.

lSupport design team on sample development on both woven and knit categories.

lSourcing of woven and knit suppliers, carry out vendor evaluation on regular basis for production decision.

lFacilitate effective communication and information sharing between merchandising, sourcing and quality assurance.

lDevelop time schedules across internal departments, tracking performance, assuring the effectiveness on production.

lKeep current with retail operation & merchandising developments inthe market

lWorking with forecaster in advanced and lockdown the open capacity.

Improve communication between buying team and Brands.

Brief Description of Role and Responsibilities:

lResponsible for the whole process of the sourcing of garment to achieve the best quality and prices for the company.

lCapacity management and orders allocation for 5~8 million pcs annually.

lCo-ordinate and communicate between head office, garment factories and fabric and trim suppliers.

lLead the team in product development, sample fitting, order follow-up to ensure on-time delivery

lDelegate functions and motivate team members for efficient and effective execution of daily operation.

lProvide necessary support for team members, help them to solve problems occurred in their daily operation.

lWork and supervise merchandisers on costing and negotiating price with factories.

lSource and develop suppliers/sub-contractors and train them the production and quality control.

lTake regular trips to items to propose to customers.

lTake part in fairs and exhibitions clients and designers to be well acquainted with new products.

lResponsible for team building, coach the subordinates in their daily work.

lResponsible for providing assistance in merchandising and product for the most effective and competitive market presentation.

lResponsible for new development & open costing.

lManages activities relevant to the category identified by the Sr. Merchandiser in conjunction with the PLM calendar.
