As part of JSP work, I frequently used HTML4.
Mainly used Microsoft SQL Server 7/2000 and Oracle 8i onward, particularly with TOAD and SQL*. Intermediate use of MySQL within LAMP (Linux Apache MySql PHP) stack, as well as with Ruby on Rails.
UML & Design Patterns
Packages utilised are Rational Rose, Object Domain and ArgoUML.
  A wide and expansive use of XML/XSLT and the equivalent tools. Packages include IBM Visual XML Tools, XML Spy, XSLT Stylus.
EJB (Enterprise Java Beans)
EJB1 - EJB3. Coding of all types of Bean (Stateless Session, Stateful Session, Message Driven, Entity).
Spring 2 and a bit of Spring 3.
I've utilised Java consistently since JDK1.2 all the way to JDK6.   Familiarity with core libraries, particularly Util, I/O, JDBC. Also strong familiarity with JUnit frameworks and extensions of these.   Packages used are Eclipse, IBM RAD7 (Rational Application Developer 7)/Websphere/Visual Age, Borland JBuilder 3 and Symantec Visual Cafe. Version control systems utilised include Subversion, Rational ClearCase, Win-CVS, Star Team 4.0 and Harvest. Build tools utilised include Ant and Maven.

  • Aegis representative of the I.T. department at AEGON UK. Training includes Employment Law, Legal Aid and Negotiation. Counselling and advisor role, as well as employee representative duties (2006 – 2007).
  • President of the Psychology Society at Strathclyde University 1994-95, Class representative for 3rd year Politics class 1994-95, President of the Video & Film Makers Society at Strathclyde University 1993-94, helped start the "Eclipse Drama Company" and was Secretary 1993-94. Lead acting roles in "Dracula" (1994), "The Body Electric" (1996) and "The Anatomist" (1997). Supporting roles in "The Elephant Man" (1993). Involved in scheme that helped children with extracurricular activities at St. Roch's School, a primary school in a deprived area of Glasgow.
  • Editor of school magazine "Red X" for Hillhead High School 1991, editor of underground school newspaper called "The Daily Sham" – 10 issues 1991. Won CSYS English Prize for Excellence at Hillhead High School, 1991.
  • Learned BASIC computer language, at age 12, 1985. Made two animated films, with 8mm film camera, at age 10, 1983.
