Greater Toronto Area Regional Leadership Centre (Toronto, York, Peel and Durham Region) Fundraising Placement (Oct - Dec 2010) - Individually conducting research for and organizing the annual Golf Tournament and Signature Gala Event hosted by the association under the direction and guidance of the Corporate Development Officers - Facilitate planned events and liaise with event vendors, manage good relations with new and current contributors by expressing appreciation and ensure that they are thanked and recognized - Develop contracts and invoices and develop fundraising materials using the Citrix MetaFrame ONYX computerized database - Maintain and update the CDA GTA Official Facebook Page Aside from working in Fund Development, I work very closely with the Provincial and National office as well as the Public Programs and Services (PPS) and Individual Giving Department. Since this has been such a rewarding experience, I have decided to continue to volunteer after the required time of 40 hours
