My ePortfolio should reflect my desire to attain a position with Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and outline my qualifications for such a placement.
My volunteer dedication to the Victim Service Unit in Lethbridge is an excellent demonstration of my emphasis on community participation. This experience also affords me the exposure to members of the LRPS team, and further strengthens my desire to seek employment as a police constable. During my first semester at the Lethbridge College I obtained a 3.5 GPA, a fine example of my commitment to the policing field. The security company I was employed with since starting the Criminal Justice Program has also given me a great deal of experience using verbal judo to solve conflicts, an important asset for any aspiring police officer.
My instructors at the Lethbridge College can testify to my positive and friendly attitude in the classroom setting. Past and current employers would attest to my reliability and flexibility for required shift coverage. My colleagues with Sentry Security could also comment on my ability to take charge of a situation; control an otherwise chaotic incident. My family life is a shining example of the type of person I am at home: dependable, honest, loving, compassionate and self-sacrificing.
A position with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police would be a good fit for me because I have lived a morally responsible life in hopes to obtain a position as a police officer. I can be reached on my cell phone at (403) 330-3548, or emailed at Terry.Monks0@gmail.com.
