Philmont Scout Ranch provides outdoor experiences for over 22,000 participants a year, making it the largest youth camp facility in the world. Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier High Adventure™ base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 200 square miles of rugged New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.
In addition to camping programs, the Philmont Training Center provides top level national training programs for volunteers and professional Scouters, and activities for their families while they spend a week in the Sangre de Cristo range of the Rocky Mountains.
Over 1,000 staff provide support and program for thousands of Scouts, families and volunteers from across the United States and abroad.

I grew participation by 24% over four year period. I designed and helped pass federal congressional legislation specifically for the organization. During my time, the organization's income grew from $4.4 million in 2002 to $7.2 million in 2006.
Additionally, I was responsible for the primary fundraising events, public activities, and handled all crisis operations (hurricane evacuations and other crisis events).
