OLIVER WRIGHT - PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Oliver Wright is a Lawyer, Writer, Educator and Investor.

Law: After graduating from Cornell Law School's accelerated joint Doctor/Master of Law program, Oliver worked for six years as both a corporate transactional attorney and trial lawyer at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, voted the top litigation firm in the country in 2010 and 2012 by American Lawyer magazine. At Gibson Dunn, Oliver's corporate and litigation clients ranged from high net worth individuals (Barron Hilton), to retail technology platforms (Amazon.com), media & entertainment conglomerates (Sony BMG), and manufacturing concerns (Ford Motor Company).

Writing: After Gibson, Oliver signed a publishing deal with New York City publishing house Grove Atlantic (Cold Mountain, American Psycho, Black Hawk Down) for a Wall Street roman à clef (forthcoming). His scholarly research and writing has been published in journals such as the Harvard International Journal of Press/Politics (SAGE Publishing).

Oliver is also a private investor and independent music producer. He is GP and Fiduciary in a number of HNW and PE real estate investment SPVs and social impact investment funds focused concentrated on America's hardest hit housing markets. Oliver executive produced the critically acclaimed underground hip hop LP, Music2BreakUp2, and has forthcoming releases featuring tracks by Grammy winning rapper RBX (Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang with Dr. Dre), producer Evidence (Dilated Peoples), and other underground luminaries such as LMNO (The Visionaries), JFK (Rhyme Sayers), LD and Ariano.
