I advise the clients on various Intellectual Property issues from a Bahrain and Middle East prospective. I assist the clients in enforcing trademark and Patents, Industrial Designs and Domain Names throughout the Middle East & GCC Countries region whether through Industrial Property Offices and governmental or administrative bodies. I also handle and assist in drafting court pleadings in IP matters and advise the clients on the merits of the disputes in question (i.e. the Trademark Oppositions, Counter-Oppositions/Counter Statements and infringement lawsuits before the court. In addition that the filing of the petitions and responses to rejection applications before the competent authorities inside Kingdom of Bahrain.

I rendered various legal advices to clients on aspects of IP matters and how to protect their interests against unfair commercial practice whether inside or outside Bahrain.

I have deep understanding of the legal and judiciary systems of Kingdom of Bahrain and the laws, regulations, decrees and decisions relevant to my practice.

I have drafted and negotiated various types of agreements, including Trademark Licensing and Assignment Agreements.

I handled several Kinds of maritime cases, i.e. (Ship Arrest and Releasing, Oil Pollution and the damage which results by it … etc), filling and drafting the lawsuits related to. I also translated a huge number of legal and maritime documents, laws and conventions from English into Arabic and vise versa.

Summary

Ali EL Sakka is an Egyptian national who is residing in Kingdom of Bahrain and is a legal consultant with substantial experience in the Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) at Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) in Bahrain, and representing the regional, national, and international IPRs clients across the global spectrum.

Ali studied the law in College of Law (English Department) Alexandria University, which is considered one of the most deeply reputed law colleges in Africa & Middle East. Ali was taught the law in both of Arabic and English legal Languages which acquired him a good and strong command of Arabic & English for pleadings and drafting the legal works.

Before joining to Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP), Ali worked for several Egyptian Law Firms where he was responsible for drafting the court pleadings in civil, commercial, Maritime and Intellectual Property matters and presenting the same in court; as well as; providing legal opinions and advises on the merits of the dispute in question. He was also assisting in drafting and reviewing commercial and Intellectual Property (IP) agreements as well as Maritime contracts & charterparties and advising the clients with respect to the same.

In addition to the above; Ali Also worded as a legal translator for variety of legal contacts, pleadings, memorandums and conventions, whether from Arabic into English and vice versa.
