As Lead Founder and CEO of Fulton Leadership Academy Charter School (FLA), I hired Mrs. Brooks as an outside contractor to provide marketing services for the school from March-June 2009.Mrs. Brooks’ contract with the school included brand development, public relations, providing media streams, and corporate support. After FLA’s approval by the GaBOE, within a three-week period, Mrs. Brooks held two community information sessions attracting over one hundred parents and interested parties. She developed the school’s website and other marketing materials as well as providing media exposure for the school. In the area of public relations, Mrs. Brooks developed a monthly e-newsletter, which increased public interest. She also provided new corporate sponsorship opportunities.Mrs. Brooks used all of these tools on a limited budget to provide an excellent representation of our school to the public sector and I would highly recommend her marketing services to any company or organization.

From 1995 through 2001, Ms. Peggy Brooks worked as a Marketing & Public Relations Representative for Publix Supermarkets Incorporated. As a manager of an Atlanta location with annual sales totaling twenty six million dollars, I hired Mrs. Brooks to help increase the customer base at our location as well as serve as community liaison to build partnerships with local schools, churches, and businesses. Her responsibilities also included organizing special events and company fundraisers in support of such non-profits as the United Way, March of Dimes and other charitable organizations.During her seven years of employment, Ms. Brooks was successful in helping to increase annual sales as much as fifteen percent at our location.Under her leadership as fundraising coordinator, both our public and employee donations soared to a yearly amount of $20,000. Later, when she became district coordinator, fundraising donations rose to over $100,000 dollars annually. Whether her job was to increase store sales, build fundraising support, develop community partnerships, or improve employee relations, Mrs. Brooks performed at a very high level in every area and I believe that this personable young woman would be a great asset to any company that is in need of a top notch professional.

I am submitting this letter of recommendation on behalf of Peggy Brooks. As an Artist my work has been displayed at Art’s Clayton Gallery for the past two years.I have had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Brooks on a professional level and during that time she has always been personable, pleasant and supportive.I have also had the opportunity to observe her with others and she displayed the same demeanor. Mrs. Brooks has great communication skills both written and verbal as well as good organizational skills. She maintained an excellent rapport with dozens of artists from all genres and her marketing ideas and monthly exhibits, resulted in art sales. Mrs. Brook’s high level of professionalism showed in her ability to work in the best interest of artists as well as the Gallery.

In 2008, as artist representative for Arts Clayton Gallery, Mrs. Brooks was asked by the U.S. Congressional Wives Club to facilitate an over one hundred thousand dollar art commission on behalf of the 1st Lady’s Luncheon held in Washington, D.C. in honor of First Lady Laura Bush. This was the largest commission for the Gallery.I was one of two artists selected for this project.Mrs. Brooks served as coordinator and artist liaison overseeing contractual agreements, timelines, shipping, and the overall success of both projects.

I would strongly recommend Mrs. Brooks for a position with your company, as she would be an asset to any organization with her personality, knowledge, skills, dedication, and background.

During her tenure with Arts Clayton Gallery, Peggy coordinated two shows in which I participated; the first Quilt Artists’ show ever held at Arts Clayton Gallery and the annual “Mistletoe Market”.

Peggy was instrumental in coordinating the artists for the Congressional Club’s First Lady’s Luncheon held in Washington DC in April 2008. Peggy placed a call for entries and secured two artists to produce unique, one-of-a-kind items, which had been commissioned by Alfredia Scott, Chairwoman for the event, and wife of Congressman David Scott.

She handled the many aspects of bringing this huge public effort together under a very tight deadline; she kept the artists focused, ensured the client was satisfied and the media informed. The culmination of her efforts was the presentation of these artworks to First Lady Laura Bush, at an event which Peggy worked tirelessly to ensure would be successful with all of the artists present.

Peggy is a pleasure to work with. Her innate enthusiasm comes across in all of her endeavors and her infectiously optimistic attitude encompasses all those who are fortunate enough to work with her on a multiplicity of projects.

I found Peggy to be extremely personable and very professional and detail oriented. She is a team player who takes great pleasure in making the spotlight shine on everyone’s efforts.
