Dispatch Police and Fire on emergency and non-emergency calls utilizing 2-way radio and telephone
Handle after hours calls for city services and United States Marshals Service
Professionally answer calls from the public via multi-line telephone system
Ability to multi-task in a high stressed, fast paced environment.
Assist the public via telephone and in person in a courteous manner
Enter case sheets into computer chronologically, enter citations and racial profiling data.
Run inquiries for driver's licenses, vehicle license plates and enter stolen articles, wanted persons, missing persons, etc.
Scheduling communications personnel
Submitting time sheets for payroll
Compose, send, and respond to emails daily utilizing the internet
Draft and distribute memos, update policies, and validate records for accuracy
Responsible for ensuring department compliance per DPS/FBI policies and procedures
