DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, the person performing this role included:
• Developed a range of creative communication pieces that promote and build awareness of CAO events and programs. e.g. website content, news bulletins, session schedules, and poster/flyers/advertisements.
•Facilitated social media tools, (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, websites) reach general public as well as existing sport sector channels to increase awareness and participation of coaches across the province in CAO events.
•Evaluated effectiveness of various communication tools and report on same.
•Provided direct logistical co-ordination and event planning support for the:
•Ontario Coaches Conference (February 2011)
•Ontario Coaches Week (April 2011)
•Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards (December – February 2011), and, other unique CAO hosted events on the annual calendar.
•Conducted site visits and track details from scheduling and planning meetings with venues and
contracted service providers, provincial and multi-sport partners, and speakers.
•Played an active role on Organizing and/or event Advisory committees.
•Developed and planed arrangements to work on-site with volunteers, resource partners, suppliers, etc. during the event. Give direction to volunteers, contracted resources, and facility or venue staff at
events as needed.
•Planned and designed signage requirements for participation flow and sponsorship servicing.
•Administered event hosting partner agreements with community organizations, municipalities, and clubs in support of CAO events during Ontario Coaches Week.
• Assisted with invoicing, expense claims and processing of payment information relating to events.
• Maintained solid record keeping and tracking of contact lists, project/program and task checklist and
feedback on activities.
