For over a decade Dr. Duane Stillions has been providing medical assistance as an educated, licensed, and experienced medical practitioner. After completing internships and residencies at University of Kansas Medical Center, The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and Seattle Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center, Dr. Stillions was recruited by Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, to serve as Staff Anesthesiologist in 1999. At Children's Mercy Hospital he provided cardiac anesthesia 30 percent of clinical time and served as the Operating Room Board Manager whose task it was to make operating room assignments and to reassess the schedules of physicians on a daily basis. Dr. Duane Stillions also provided medical education for both residents and medical students while at Children's Mercy Hospital and served as Chairperson on the hospital's Recruitment committee for two years from 2000 to 2002.

In November 2003, Dr. Duane Stillions transferred to Fairfax Hospital for Women and Children located in Falls Church, Virginia. While at Fairfax Hospital for Women and Children Dr. Stillions served as Staff Anesthesiologist, employing his medical talents and expertise at the hospital's tertiary care center and provided pediatric care half the clinical time. Dr. Duane Stillions was Staff Anesthesiologist at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC where he worked from 2004 - 2009 providing cardiac anesthesia approximately 80 percent of clinical time. Also, during the 5 years Dr. Stillions was employed at Children's National Medical Center he served on two major committees as Chairperson, from 2005 through 2008: the Recruitment Committee and the Family Centered Care Committee, a unique committee created to synthesize the conversations and concerns of healthcare professionals, families, and patients to improve the quality of patient care at the hospital.
