As Senior Media Relations Specialist, I was responsible for writing and distributing press releases worldwide. For example, if there was a project in Upstate New York, I would write the press release, get it approved by all the appropriate project managers, then distribute it electronically to that region's news media outlets. I did the same thing for international press releases. Distribution protocol in foreign countries varies from country to country. I was awarded the "Consulting Specifier Engineering Award" for my performance at Parsons during my employment there.

As public Relations Director and Senior Editor for this financial products company, I wrote and designed the layout of the monthly newsletter. As Public Relations Director, I designed the practice's logo. I wrote and produced the practice's promotional materials including the flagship pamphlet. I designed all of its ads and handled placement of them in various media outlets. I wrote all the copy for radio and TV spots. I wrote proposals to various municipalities in Los Angles County for the practice to be the "official medical group" for various sporting events. As a result, we served in the "official" capacity for the AVP, PGA and LPGA.

As a general assignment reporter for this once-a-week newspaper, I covered the city's local news beat and special events. Simultaneously, I hosted a once-a-week evening talk show for Storer Cable. It was titled, "Talk of the Town." It focused on special events throughout the beach cities.

As an entry level, general assignment reporter, straight out of college, I had an amazing news beat. I covered state political news and worked closely with state politicians such as then State Representative John McCain and then Gov. Bruce Babbit. Both are now in Washington, D.C.
