Wellness Enthusiast and Wedge Health & Body Care staff member. Looking to aquire position as a full time Natural Products Buyer in the Health & Wellness department at the Wedge CoOp. Self-driven, focused, time-oriented, and professional-mannered. I thoroughly enjoy taking on and overcoming new challenges at the workplace and beyond. This position will provide the challenge I’m looking for and will allow me to display my excellent skills of researching, effective communication, critical, strategic, and creative thinking, time-management, and my keen ability to learn as I go.
Ability to listen to and respond to customer questions and comments while providing exceptional customer service with a friendly demeanor. Ability to respond to any escalated situation in a very calm and direct manor. Ability to connect with people of various backgrounds due to my diverse background and ability to speak multiple languages.
In depth knowledge on various health supplements and wellness products gained from various completed trainings at the Wedge CoOp. In depth knowledge on general merchandise products; proponent of locally made, recyleable, “Green” products sold at the CoOp.
Ability to focus on several tasks at once, such as: Answering phone calls, helping customers, communicating with co-workers, refilling bulk herbs, etc; All while providing exceptional customer service.
In depth knowledge on natural foods and herbal remedies which promote overall well-being and a healthy lifestyle; gained from interest of self-healing and from trainings at the Wedge CoOp
Fluent in Amharic (Official Language In Ethiopia) along with English
Provide exceptional customer service as a priority. Receive, unpack, record, stock, distribute, and calculate costs of incoming merchandise for the Health & Body Care department. Maintain a clean and fully stocked area for customers to enjoy and purchase their wellness needs. Consult w/ customers on what products to use and where to find them on our shelves. Answer phone calls and contact customers to complete purchases and to answer questions. Consistently learn and attend various trainings from brands of products we carry.
Lead the Front End Department by scheduling and coordinating staff breaks, coordinating staff schedule changes as needed, dealing with escalations, covering Customer Service desk, cashiers, and baggers when needed, create Excel sales reports daily, return shopping carts from outside when needed, be available for any questions, concerns, or comments from Front End staff.
Meet and great fitness members and build relationships which lead to personal training sessions. I sell my personality as a trainer and coach clients on exercise forms techniques and help create goals and workout plans for clients. Answer fitness and nutrition related questions from fitness members. Teach group fitness classes a couple of times per week at both Midtown and Uptown locations in Minneapolis.
Assisted fitness members with any fitness related questions and/or comments. Contacted members to advise of and sale personal training package, coached and trained clients based on fitness needs and goals.
Coached and trained middle school boys, mainly from the inner city, on various basketball skills and teamwork activities in preparation for games and tournaments. Coached practices and games for a full season and handled basketball-related activities. Also helped provide inspiration to the team members and taught life-skills based on my personal experiences growing up in Sioux Falls. Built strong working-relationships with the individual team members, their parents, and fellow coaches.
