About Norm Gretzinger

A financial services professional with over 20 years of experience, Norm Gretzinger serves as a managing director for the New York City-based private equity firm EG Capital Group, LLC. In this role, he identifies investment opportunities, negotiates deals, and manages the company portfolio for a firm that concentrates on acquisitions of, and development capital for, consumer products companies. As a board chairman for the firm’s portfolio companies, Norm Gretzinger secures the value of investors’ holdings by guiding enterprises in the implementation of effective business strategies. Since co-founding EG Capital in 2003, he has sourced and executed investments in, as well as led the growth and successful exit of, several companies, including Del Monte Canada and Waterpik.

Prior to establishing EG Capital, Norman Gretzinger served as head of North American consumer mergers and acquisitions for a multinational financial services company. During this period, he carried out more than $25 billion in transactions involving clients such as Iams, Heinz, and Clorox. Earlier in his career, while an associate for Sullivan & Cromwell, Mr. Gretzinger provided advising for corporate clients in a variety of industries on matters ranging for investment opportunities to debt financing.

Within his local New York community, Norman Gretzinger contributes to the Bronxville School Foundation and serves as a board member and coach for the Bronxville Youth Hockey Association. Also concerned with youth development abroad, he donates to Schools for Salone to aid in the construction of schools and training of teachers in Sierra Leone.
