My company was fortunate enough to work with a team led by Nola and during our project we got to know her, and appreciate her skills, well. In specific support of Nola I’d note the following attributes.
1)Great positive energy and drive. Nola brings an almost irrepressible positive ‘can do’ attitude to her work, even when faced by significant obstacles she maintains a balanced outlook and clear sense of purpose and urgency.
2)Detail Orientated. Nola is thorough and analytical - she drove out processes and quantitative assessment as the basis for her decision making.
3)Strategic thinker. Nola, while not actually being the COO, she always held true to the organisations high level goals and objective as the basis for framing her work and assessments. It appeared to me that she ran the operation.
4)Clear, Candid, Open Communications. It’s refreshing to work with people that manage to communicate effectively. With Nola you always know where you stand - and it’s presented in a measured, professional way.
5)Team / Partnership Builder. In our experience it was clear that her team liked working with Nola, and that was true for the people at BlueSun. Her approach is one that fosters partnership and loyalty.
6)Technical Competence. Nola is able to drive to the bottom of technical matters and retains a solid understanding of, and intuition for technology and its application.
My last commentary on Nola is that I truly believe she will be a fantastic asset at the right organisation. Apart from the great blend of executive, technical and communication skills Nola is just one of those great people that you are happy that you have the opportunity to come across in your life. I suspect that when the right organisation comes along and presents Nola with an opportunity she is excited about that company will quickly come to wonder how they ever did without her.
