  • Participated in a 9 day field study that took place at Bahia de Las Animas,  Mexico
  • Studied first hand the ecology of various intertidal and neritic ecosystems, including mud flats, mangrove swamps, reefs, and kelp forests
  • Researched numerous phyla of marine organisms and learned to identify them
  • Learned to identify the composition of grains in numerous sand samples
